Anglesey Parish Council

Description

PLEASE NOTE:  The Clerk is currently employed for 17 hours a week spread across Monday to Friday inclusively. There is an answerphone on the line to facilitate messages being left.

·         Anglesey is an urban parish located in the south east of Burton upon Trent in East Staffordshire. Formed comparatively recently in 2003 it is characterised by Victorian terraced properties and large buildings previously associated with the brewing industry.  The parish benefits from a large open recreational space on the River Trent flood plain, The Washlands.

·         The Parish Council owns and manages an allotment site located on Cambridge Street.  Please contact the Clerk for details of vacancies.

·         And our connection to the island off the coast of Wales?  This lies within the historic convolutions of the British Peerage; the Marquis of Anglesey, the Paget Family (our local secondary school's name) and extinct title of the Baron of Burton.
