Local Strategic Partnership - Lichfield

Description

The Lichfield District Strategic Partnership brings together partners from across the district, including Staffordshire County Council, Lichfield District Council, business, health, housing, probation, police, voluntary organisations and education.

The partnership is led by the Lichfield District Board, which brings together key strategic decision makers from each of the partner organisations. The board meets four times a year and looks to identify and agree shared priorities for the district and explore joint approaches to ensure these priroties are delivered. Organisations in the partnership develop plans and strategies which take account of the partnership's overall priorities. The partners are then accountable to the partnership for delivering their goals on behalf of the community.

The partnership has a statutory responsibility to tackle crime and disorder and to work together to safeguard and improve the life chances of children and young people.

The partnership has three sub-partnerships, which focus on specific areas and are:

·         health and wellbeing board

·         strategic housing partnership

·         community safety partnership

From time to time it also hosts task and finish groups to deliver key tasks/priorities.

Lichfield District Council is the accountable body for the partnership and all funding held and allocated by the partnership is done so in accordance with the financial regulations of the district council.
