The Council's Staffordshire Warmer Homes
programme has been successful in securing £10.5m for the Home
Upgrade Grant (Phase 2), which was confirmed in July 2023 by the
Midlands Net Zero Hub. The submission to cabinet will outline and
seek approval for the intended spend plans to retrofit thermal
measures to achieve locally set HUGS 2 targets and address local
need around Sustainable Housing, climate change and Fuel poverty.
(HUGS 2 intended Schedule: October 1st 2023 - March 31st
2025).
