Additional documents:

Minutes:

The Director of Finance and Resources submitted a summary of the performance of the Pension Fund together with a portfolio of the Fund’s investments as at 30 September 2014.

The Panel noted that, at £3.45 billion, the market value of the Fund at 30 September 2014 was the highest market value of the Fund reported to date.  The Actuary had recently indicated that the funding level of the Fund has improved, since the actuarial valuation in March 2013, substantially as a result of the performance of investments.  Also, on a ‘like for like’ comparison with 87 other Local Authority Pension Funds, Staffordshire’s funding level was above average.

RESOLVED That the Pension Fund performance and portfolio of investments for the quarter ended 30 September 2014 be noted.
