Report of the Chief Executive.

(Exemption paragraph 1) 

The Special Committee considered a report of the Chief Executive seeking approval to an extension to the current contract held by Neelam Bhardwaja in the post of Interim Director for Children and Families; and the commencement of the selection process to permanently recruit to the post of Director for Children and Families. 

Resolved – (a) That a further extension to Neelam Bhardwaja’s fixed term contract, whilst arrangements are made to recruit to the permanent post of Director for Children and Families, be agreed.  (This will provide continuity of leadership for Children and Families and facilitate a handover to the successful candidate). 

(b) That the commencement of selection process to recruit to the post of Director for Children and Families on a permanent basis be approved.
