The remit of the Advisory Board is to receive reports about the progress of the History, both in writing and publishing texts and in out-reach work (i.e. knowledge transfer, which is a matter of interest to both SCC and the University).
The Board meets once a year in a room in the Staffordshire Record Office in Stafford.
The representative Councillor is expected to provide advice on how the project it meeting its objectives as regards making the research findings available to the wider public, in both printed and electronic form.
A Councillor can advise on current Government policies, so enabling the local staff on the History project modify how it present its findings. so as to reach as wide an audience as possible in the most effective way.
