Award of the Furniture Framework Agreement (REF IA1774)

Staffordshire County Council are to procure a multi-provider Framework Agreement split into 3 separate lots – Office Furniture/Educational Furniture/Library Furniture. This framework is a recurrent procurement procured every 3 years with a commencement of the 1st July 2020 to pro vide continuity with the end of the existing Frameworks. The term of the new Framework will be for 2 years (with a further option to extend by 2 x 1 year periods). Strategic Property anticipate that the Staffordshire County Council spend over the 4 year term will be approximately £6 million. This is split over the 3 distinct lots as follows : Office Furniture £2 million, Educational Furniture £3.5 million and Library Furniture £1 million. The value takes account for both flexibility in the Council spend and an allowance for other public sector partners to use the Framework. Cabinet decision sought to approve a delegated decision for the initial appointments to the framework and any relevant call-off contract awards thereafter.
