We require authority to accept funding from
all 8 District and Borough Councils across the County as part of
this approved programme by Cabinet on the 20th January 2021. The
amount to be accepted currently ranges from £57,000 to
£432,000. The amounts may increase as the Programme
progresses. The origin of the funding is the Additional
Restrictions Grant supplied by central government to the Districts
and Boroughs. The County Council will use this income to support
the agreed component parts of its Back to Business Programme which
includes Staffs Apprenticeship 500, Nil Cost Training Top Up,
Business Start Up Top Up - Start Up Loans, Business Start Up Top Up
- Ignite Bespoke student, Business Start Up - Start Up Scheme,
Small Business 'To Thrive' Financial Support. As part of the
Delegation Officers also require authority to enter into
appropriate agreements, , to make loans, grants and pay service
providers to effectively deliver this Programme.

The Sub-Committee considered a report proposing the transfer of the Site from Fradley Park Developments Limited to Staffordshire County Council in accordance with the terms of the s106 Agreement and a Lease for the site for a 125 year period at a peppercorn rental in line with the expectations of the Department for Education following construction of the school.
RESOLVED – That approval be given to transfer the site from Fradley Park Developments Limited to Staffordshire County Council and the granting of a 125 year lease of the site, at a peppercorn rental to the John Taylor MAT.
